Hungarian artist, known only by his nickname cerkahegyzo, manages to produce incredibly detailed sculptures by carving on pencil lead. Using simple tools such as razor blades and needles, he painstakingly files away the wooden casing and then carves at the exposed lead to produce impossibly difficult sculptures like linked chains. On hand are other tools like sandpaper and polishing stones to shape his intricate designs.
Cerkahegyzo says his work is inspired by Dalton Ghetti, the original pencil carver. The artist even pays homage to Ghetti by replicating his sculptures of a heart, screw, and linked chains.
